POWERBOAT DEVELOPMENT DAYS (MILES BUILDER)

Course Description

Powerboat Development – Non RYA Course

The Course is conducted on our 7.8 metre Ribcraft RHIB with a 250hp engine, which has a huge range of power and exhilarating performance. The boat is coded for 10 persons and this type of boat is also used on Advanced Powerboat and other courses and Powerboat Instructor courses.

Instructor -– Powerboat Development – Non RYA

The Instructor for these courses will be a minimum of Powerboat Instructor (PBI qualified) with a VHF SRC Radio, current First Aid Certificate and will be an Advanced Powerboat Commercial Skipper. This is the minimum requirement for ABC. This course will only be run outside of the ABC operating area if the Instructor is fully qualified to do so and with regard to policy. Any commercial endorsements will also be in date for each Instructor delivering such training. The course lasts for one day unless the customer requires more coaching.

Course Content – – Powerboat Development – Non RYA

This will be dependent on the customer requirements with consultation from the Chief Instructor, but people normally wish to follow up on their Powerboat Level 2 Course. You can learn a little more about the use of engine trim and Powerboating in different sea and tide conditions using throttle and trim more than you did on your level 2 Course.

The Instructor to Student Ratio will be 3:1 like the Powerboat Level 2 Course, but you may find less people on this course or even being on your own.
