Classroom Course – DEM

The RYA Diesel engine Maintenance Course is a great awareness Course as to how your Diesel engine Works. The RYA Diesel engine Course was designed as a direct result of RNLI call-outs, being the biggest reason for call-out. This Course was designed to reduce the number of RNLI call-outs as their time should be better spent saving lives and not rescuing vessels that have broken down, we have Sea-Start for that sort of thing now and other Mariners can also help you back into Port (agree terms of tow first).

The DEM Course as we know it by, is a great way of learning about your engine systems and once you know how things work, its easier to be able to fix the problem, or troubleshoot what may be wrong, its not a Course that will teach you how to be a Marine Engineer in a day, although some people do their own servicing as a result of attending the Course with us, saving themselves a fortune. In this respect if you are confident enough, the Course represents excellent value for money.
